Lindis Bjoland recently started as a researcher at the Space Plasma Physics group. During the next year, she will do a feasibility study to assess how the new EISCAT_3D radar can contribute to and enhance the European Space Agency’s space weather data products and improve their services in the Arctic region. Her research has been focused on radar studies of the upper polar atmosphere. Now she says that she ‘is excited to dig deeper into the new possibilities EISCAT_3D will give us’. Lindis completed her Master’s degree at the University of Bergen in 2012. After that, she lived in Tromsø (where she did her PhD), Japan, and Svalbard. After 10 years she has returned to Bergen, meeting both old acquaintances and new faces at the Department of Physics and Technology. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, going for walks, and spending time with family and friends.
A big welcome to Lindis, it is great to have her here!
